DIY: Makeshift Photo Frame

Posted on Jan 3 2016 - 12:49am by Patty Minichiello

I recently got a gift over the holidays that was not only adorable, but adorably wrapped. As we all know by now, I love mermaids. I love mermaid stuff. Give me mermaid stuff. I am happy. 😉

Along with the gift came an amazing tag I wanted to display in some way but due to the sizing, it was hard to find a frame that would fit the size, so I came up with an ever better idea. Burlap.

You will need:

  • Scissors
  • Burlap
  • Glue (I used hot glue)
  • Twine
  • Wooden rod

Cut rod to length of burlap, add an inch on each side.

Glue burlap to wooden rod.

Glue photo to burlap.

Add twine by wrapping around each side of the extended wood.

Cut ends and tie at the top.

Hang and enjoy!
